S.L. Nusbaum Insurance Agency, Inc. has operated as an independent insurance agency since August of 1953.  Its origin dates back to the early 1900's as a division of S.L. Nusbaum & Co., Inc.

Today our primary corporate goal is providing service to the client by creating a partnership with the insured, insurance company and us.  We achieve this task by working closely with our clients and the various insurance companys' underwriters, claims representatives, auditors and safety engineers.

Our reputation and success in this area has allowed us to represent the finest insurance companies in the world, many with relationships over thirty years.  The strength of our partnerships allows us to serve over 5,000 clients, not only in Virginia, but nationally and internationally.

We are committed to providing the highest standard of excellence through the coverages and products we recommend.  We work in conjunction with the insurance companies to protect our clients' assets and coordinate safety and loss control recommendations.  We oversee the satisfactory resolution and closure of all claims.  Our employees continue to attend educational seminars to further broaden their knowledge about new coverages and better ways to professionally serve our clients.  Our employees average almost fifteen years experience in the industry.

Charles S. Nusbaum C.P.C.U., President, and Cindy Amick, Executive Vice President, oversee the day-to-day operations.  Both have been with the agency over twenty-five years.  With their experience and that of the professional staff, each account is individually considered to its own set of specifications.  Each exposure is unique in its own right.  We treat the clients' needs as if they were our own.
